Hi Peep,
So what’s the big deal with Windows Live talking about integrating Open ID as a way to log into and use Windows Live?
Well this is what OpenId does…
OpenID eliminates the need for multiple usernames across different websites, simplifying your online experience.
Think about how many sites do you belong to? Ever forgotten what your login id was or your password? It’s not a problem if you’re using the exact same username for every site you have… ever heard of data portability…?

Did you know that you may actually already have an OPEN ID… do you have an account with any of the following sites…?
AOL: openid.aol.com/screenname
Blogger: blogname.blogspot.com
Flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/username
LiveDoor: profile.livedoor.com/
LiveJournal username.livejournal.com
Orange (France Telecom) http://openid.orange.fr/
SmugMug username.smugmug.com
Technorati technorati.com/people/technorati/username
Vox member.vox.com
Yahoo http://openid.yahoo.com
WordPress.com username.wordpress.com
I just recently used my wordpress username(because I couldn’t recall my OPEN ID id…) to log in to some social media type site… I don’t recall which site it was @ this moment… ; P
Now obviously some of those IDs/usernames you use on some of those sites are already taken… like if you had “vlog” as a ID/username for technorati.com but someone had it for flickr and they beat you to it… using “vlog” as their OPEN ID…
so go ahead and check to see if your id/password works or just go and create an OPEN ID and remember it…
God Bless,
Yoon
